Gwinnett County’s community and economic development initiative, Partnership Gwinnett, announced the winners of its 2013 Imagination, Innovation, and Influence Awards during its annual Summit this afternoon. Recognizing one leader and one company in each category, the awards honored efforts supporting transformative concepts, community leadership, and economic progress in the County.
The Partnership Gwinnett Imagination Award recognizes creative methods that have transformed the way entities market or engage with their customers, residents, or students.
“We are continually looking for ways to amplify the theatre experience, engage more Gwinnettians, and build a stronger, more inclusive arts community,” stated Rodriguez. “Partnership Gwinnett plays a strategic role in Aurora’s mission ‘to create a new generation of theatre goers,’ by recognizing and highlighting the positive impact arts have on economic development and the vitality of a community. They have been instrumental in many of the County’s arts initiatives, including the formation of ArtWorks! Gwinnett. We are grateful for our partnership and thankful for this distinguished recognition.”
The Partnership Gwinnett Innovation Award distinguishes individuals and companies that develop unique products, ideas, initiatives, and services that help create a competitive advantage.
“This recognition serves as yet another confirmation that our decision to house our global Innovation Center in Gwinnett was the right choice for our company,” commented Larry Golen, Vice President and General Manager for Heatcraft North America. “Partnership Gwinnett and the surrounding community have been invaluable partners as we seek to effectively grow our business and continue to lead our industry.”
The Partnership Gwinnett Influence Award honors extraordinary companies and individuals that have made an impact in the community through volunteerism or organizational participation.
“Partnership Gwinnett was thrilled with the quantity and quality of nominations received this year for its annual awards. The 2013 finalists and winners demonstrate the outstanding work companies and individuals are doing to transform Gwinnett into a world-class community,” said Carla Carraway, President of Precision Planning, Inc. and 2013 Partnership Gwinnett Chairman. “We congratulate all of our winners, finalists, and nominees and look forward to their continued success and leadership.”
