(GWINNETT- METRO ATLANTA) May 7, 2018 – NETHERWORLD, one of the top haunted houses in the Nation, joined Partnership Gwinnett to announce the expansion of its operations in Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta, Georgia. The announcement represents more than 400 seasonal jobs for the community.

NETHERWORLD’s new 70,000 square-foot facility, located at 2076 West Park Place Blvd. in the Evermore Community Improvement District (CID), will house the world-famous NETHERWORLD Haunted House, Escape the NETHERWORLD Escape Games, House of Creeps Monster Museum and event space suitable for corporate and private functions.

“The new location has given us great opportunities to evolve and grow.  We are excited to be able to create new thrilling entertainment options while still remaining laser-focused on producing one of the top haunted attractions in the world,” said Billy Messina, co-owner of NETHERWORLD “The location was carefully chosen to allow for the expansion of the business while keeping roots in our long-term home, Gwinnett County.”

“It is important that Gwinnett’s economy remains inclusive for businesses like NETHERWORLD, as they remind us that our community is as much a great place to play as it is to work and live,” said Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chair, Charlotte Nash. “I look forward to seeing what’s next for this nationally recognized attraction.”

Known as one of the best haunted attractions in the world, NETHERWORLD is regularly recognized for its high-quality sets, special effects and unrivaled attention to detail. In 2017, the haunting attraction ranked as the #1 Haunted House in America by Hauntworld Magazine.

“We’re proud that NETHERWORLD has made the Evermore CID their home for future growth,” said Jim Brooks, Executive Director for the Evermore Community Improvement District. “Their thrilling attractions will draw spectators from around the world that will have a substantial economic impact in our community.”

In addition to its new and improved haunted house, NETHERWORLD has expanded to include more hair-raising attractions and offerings that can be experienced year-round. The expansion includes two themed event spaces, a monster museum and three escape game rooms that are currently open to the public.

“For more than two decades NETHERWORLD’s Haunted House has been a must-see for visitors from around the world,” said Lisa Anders, Executive Director for Explore Gwinnett. “With the addition of year-round attractions, NETHERWORLD will set a new trend for tourism in Gwinnett.”

In addition to the new facility, NETHERWORLD plans to enhance its operations by optimizing its more than 9.5 acres of property with the creation of multiple outdoor entertainment options, more functional traffic flow and expanded parking.

“NETHERWORLD is a top-ranked attraction that has long been a major asset for Gwinnett,” said Nick Masino, Chief Economic Development Officer for Partnership Gwinnett. “Their continued growth is a key indicator of our community’s proven ability to provide access to a reliable target market and the opportunity for continued expansion.”
