Nominations Now Open for Annual Movers & Makers Awards

(GWINNETT – METRO ATLANTA) November 15, 2016 – Partnership Gwinnett, in collaboration with Gwinnett Technical College, announced today that nominations are now being accepted for the sixth annual Movers & Makers Awards.

The Movers & Makers Awards is the County’s annual recognition of exceptional Gwinnett-based companies involved in the manufacturing, processing or distribution of tangible products. The event is the largest of its kind in the state of Georgia and is attended by previous winners and judges, along with industry experts, professionals and community leaders.

“Gwinnett Technical College is once again proud to be a partner for the Movers & Makers Awards,” said Dr. Glen D. Cannon, President of Gwinnett Technical College. “We are excited to continue our commitment, in working with Partnership Gwinnett, to support the economic and business development of our county’s manufacturing companies.”

Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:

• Three (3) “Makers” Awards, honoring Manufacturers of the Year – Small, Medium and Large
• Two (2) “Movers” Awards, honoring Supply Chain companies – Supply Chain Pioneer and Corporate Citizen Award
• Most Valuable Provider (MVP) Award, honoring an excellent service provider

To be eligible to win, nominees must have been in business at a physical address in Gwinnett County for at least three years. To apply for the 2017 Movers & Makers Awards, complete the application online at partnershipgwinnett.com/movers-makers-awards/. All applications must be received by January 16, 2017 to qualify.

Recipients of the awards will be announced and recognized during the annual awards ceremony, which will be held on March 23, 2017 at the Infinite Energy Forum. The Movers & Makers program will also feature AGCO’s President and CEO, Martin Richenhagen, as the keynote speaker.

“The Movers & Makers Awards has been a great stage for us to be able to acknowledge and celebrate manufacturing and supply chain companies that have been leading examples in our community,” said Deven Cason, Project Manager at Partnership Gwinnett. “We’re excited to recognize innovative companies making impactful moves here in Gwinnett and highly encourage all businesses to apply.”
