 Job Description:

At Partnership Gwinnett our role is to market Gwinnett County to the metro Atlanta region, the state of Georgia, the nation and internationally. We are looking for a communications-minded individual to oversee all internal and external communications for Partnership Gwinnett, ensuring the message is consistent and engaging. The ideal candidate will be resourceful and self-motivated and oversee communications, grand openings/events, social media, and produce website content. This individual will need to be a creative thinker to produce strategic marketing content that moves the needle for the organization.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Write press releases for projects and announcements
  • Work collaboratively with state and county partners
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date press list
  • Lead on all grand opening and ribbon cutting events
  • Submit awards nominations for the team
  • Manage social media channels, including campaign ideation, execution, and management
  • Understand KPI’s and define goals for social media and communications efforts
  • Create reliable reporting and tracking of social media and press campaigns
  • Track social media technology platforms specific to the Partnership Gwinnett demographic
  • Design and/or collaborate with designers on graphics
  • Oversee and produce website content
  • Manage content, distribution and tracking for newsletters
  • Support director with event coordination needs, including contracting, invitations, décor, seating, food, and beverage, etc.
  • Assist director with budget development and management
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Confident communicator and presenter
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills are essential, including the ability to present concepts verbally
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in social media
  • A strategic thinker with strong creativity, organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
  • Ability to adapt to constantly changing demands and a fast-paced work environment
  • Ideal candidate must be detail oriented, self-motivated, outgoing, flexible, a team player and professional
