GF Health Products, Inc. Expands Global Headquarters in Gwinnett County
(GWINNETT-METRO ATLANTA) December 12, 2018 – GF Health Products, Inc. (“Graham-Field”), a global leader in medical equipment manufacturing, joined Partnership Gwinnett today to celebrate the grand opening of the company’s new global headquarters in Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta, Georgia. This new facility will bring 20 new jobs and $10 million in capital investment to the local community.
The new facility will house Graham-Field’s global headquarters, as well as an expanded manufacturing and distribution operation. The 118,866 SF facility is located on 7.45 acres and will feature a new customer showroom and design studio, a photographic workspace, as well as a new collaborative work environment for employees.
According to Ken Spett, President and CEO of Graham-Field, “the expansion will allow Graham-Field to increase manufacturing capacity and support the company’s “Made in the USA” growth strategy by taking advantage of the strong talent pool within the metro Atlanta area. The new space, combined with our facilities in WI, NC, MO, RI and CA, embodies Graham-Field’s transformation into a prominent design, engineering and domestic health care manufacturing company.”
Graham-Field is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of medical products in the healthcare industry and offers a wide array of over 50,000 items used in hospitals, extended care facilities, clinics and home care. Graham-Field’s products have been designed to enhance the quality of life of the people that use them and feature well-known brands including Everest & Jennings® Wheelchairs, Lumex® Patient Aids and Healthcare Seating, Basic American Medical Products® Beds and Furnishings, and more.
“It’s exciting to see a successful company, like Graham-Field, growing in our community,” said Charlotte Nash, Chair of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. “Gwinnett has an extremely talented and diverse workforce to serve companies in the healthcare and advanced manufacturing industries. This makes Gwinnett a community of choice for global leaders like Graham-Field.”
Graham-Field acquired exam table and medical furniture manufacturer, Intensa Inc., in January of this year, which created the need for expanded production space. The new Gwinnett facility will accommodate the higher demand, as well as allow for the company’s strategic growth plans including a Made in America medical equipment expansion.
110 of Graham-Field’s 325 employees will be based in the new Gwinnett facility. Other locations include Fond du Lac WI, Hazelwood MO, Warwick RI, Pico Rivera CA and High Pt NC.
“We are so pleased to get to work with Graham-Field on the expansion of their Global Headquarters here in Gwinnett,” said Deven Cason, Sr. Project Manager at Partnership Gwinnett. “They are a part of a strong and growing base of global companies who have found Gwinnett to have the ideal mix of talent, resources and location. We look forward to Graham-Field’s continued success in our community.”
Graham-Field is a three-time winner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s GLOBE awards for export sales, as well as a 2018 winner of the Atlanta Metro Export Challenge.
