Position Title: Marketing Intern, Partnership Gwinnett

Salary: Hourly

Required Education: currently enrolled in a baccalaureate (junior or senior) or graduate level program in marketing, communications, journalism, or related disciplines

Reports To: Director, Marketing, Communications & Events, Partnership Gwinnett

Work Schedule: 20 hours per week in office, flexible hours with student’s schedule – August 2021 start


Job Description: The marketing intern will support the Partnership Gwinnett marketing team. Throughout this internship, you will gain exposure and experience in all facets of marketing, event planning and economic development. You will learn:

  • Social media planning and analytics
  • Event planning and execution
  • Investor relations, i.e., assisting with monitoring, planning and general customer service needs
  • Communications skills, including writing and editing copy and assisting with press needs
  • Updating website content
  • Trends and annual planning
  • Building out creative concepts
  • Assisting in special assignments and projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Social media savvy across multiple platforms, including social analytics
  • Ability to generate reports
  • Event planning experience
  • Both independent and collaborative work ethic
  • Positive and responsive with a high level of professionalism
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Willingness to learn new programs and software quickly, such as email marketing, social content calendars, and website management platforms
  • Able to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
