Job Description: This position leads Partnership Gwinnett’s economic development research efforts by providing information and data to the team and partners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide and analyze data for marketing initiatives including the Partnership Gwinnett website, presentations, social media, annual report, projects and RFIs
- Provide data and prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the economic development team
- Track Partnership Gwinnett KPIs and community indicators
- Develop positive working relationship with community partners including the research teams at the Georgia Department of Economic Development, regional partners and with the research teams that operate within each utility economic development office
- Implement and maintain all Partnership Gwinnett databases
- Negotiate contracts and maintains relationships with database vendors
- Work with Georgia Department of Community Affairs, prospective companies, Gwinnett Development Authority, and relevant bond counsel to implement application and reporting phases of Georgia Regional Economic Business Assistance grants
- Manage research internship program
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access
- Working knowledge of internet resources, including but not limited to ArcGIS Community Analyst, ESRI, Business Wise, and JobsEQ
- Strong working knowledge of analytical and statistical tools to analyze and interpret data
- Must be a strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Must be flexible regarding job responsibilities and ability to work as a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and deliver on tight deadlines
- Ability to design and execute multiple work demands
- Excellent written, grammatical, and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of existing methods of the economic development process (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Economic Development or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job, including but not limited to GIS planning, Research, Analytics, or Public Administration
